Platform 4 creators of stillness and theatrical magic, invite you to ‘come unto these yellow sands’ for an intimate evening with one of Shakespeare’s most profound and mysterious of plays.

Platform 4 create atmospheres; slow shifting light patterns, striking visual transformations, focused movement and rich, textured sound-scapes.
In the past 11 years, Platform 4 has created a body of work concerned with dream like worlds that are both real and magical.

2008 sees us embarking on nine months of Research and Development on The Tempest.
Who with I hear you ask?
The designer of our past three shows: Simon Plumridge: Scarlet/The Ding Foundation/Angels in the Architecture will be directing The Tempest for us. The dramaturg, Synne Behrndt. Our Sound designer Jules Bushell - Kaos/Angels in the Architecture/ and all our previous shows. Our Creative Producer, Cath Church - founder of P4
And who else?
We will be running a series of workshops through 07 with a crack team of students from the BA Honours course at Winchester University and members of The Chesil Theatre.
We will also be working with our actors on consolidating this research and giving a showing of work in progress on Thurs 16 October and Fri 17 October 08 at 7.45pm at the Chesil Theatre, Winchester. with an open dress rehearsal on Wed 15 October 08 at 7.45pm at the Chesil Theatre, Winchester.
