Since becoming incorporated Platform 4’s Board of Directors meets quarterly to oversee both the artistic and the management side of the company's work. Together with the Artistic Director they formulate artistic policy, guide strategic planning and help make key decisions.

Richard Cuming - Chair of Platform 4

Richard is currently head of performing arts and chair of Creative Practice at the University of Winchester, where he teaches, devises, directs and researches.
Richard has been at the forefront of Clown and Physical Theatre for 20 years, co-founding the clown troupe, Zippo and Company. His company, fishproductions created Love Me Tender and The Family Outing Caravan Holiday. Recently he directed The Belfast Community Circus in a large-scale project for Belfast Cathedral Festival. Previously he has directed No 2 Theatre Co, Maxey and Harvey, Nofit State Circus and The Foolhardies. Richard directed Animal Tales for Platform 4 in 2000 and co-directed The Visitation of Mr Collioni in 2004.

Directors give their time voluntarily and bring a wealth of skills to the company including theatre, finance, human resources, business, education, local promotion and project management.
